I think it looks pretty neat. You've got effects and all that - how did you do that bullet effect?

Not my cup of tea really. I agree about the american accent, are the two guys supposed to be older or two teenagers who happen to have guns and don't care about shooting up this mansion they live in?

You should also think about the line of action when your shooting, theres a lot of jumping across it and that just serves to take you out of the film.

The dialogue is pretty cliched too, why not try to make the characters interesting so we at least care about them.

To be honest if this is the standard of the rest of the films on your dvd then the money you spent on a rating was badly spent in my opinion.

Sorry to be harsh but i'm just being honest.

It seems that a few of you seem to have missed the point of wager entirely. shame. Without an at least pseudo intelligent sense of humour, the DVD is not for you

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What youre going to tell us your film was bad becos it sposed to be, becos its post modern irony or something?

Give us a break. If we dont appreciate badly written, corny american accented, stupid gun fights then I guess we just dont like the same sort of movies as you but its got nothing to do wih us not being intelligent enough to understand your vision, and complaining at your audience when they dont like your film isnt going to get you anywhere.

I got the premise, that they bet their lives for six dollars, its just not interesting and there was no point to me watching it.

Like Beloved Monster says, if you can't take some criticism then yout in the wrong business. Use what people say to your advantage, don't just dismiss it as bollocks because you deem them not as pseudo-intelligent as you.

Incidentally, can you explain he phrase pseudo-intelligent for me?

I think the more stuff you film the better you will get at directing so nothing is ever a waste of time. But with this movie, beyond practising shooting some John Woo inspired gun fight i cant really see the piont in it. Its certainly not cool enough just to get by on its visuals alone. Its just not fresh enough to be entertaining, how many film makers have done 3rd rate copies of stylised gun fights?

Maybe if did have some irony and they pulled out swords or something to make it original i might be willing to over look the crappy americanised acting at the start, but as it stands i just dont think its very good.

Try re-encoding the clip again, at so we can see the whole thing with judging it soley on the accents....

From what I saw if it, it looked like you were purely paying homage to John Woo... there wasn't anything else meaty enough to make me care about the characters...

it is a short film lasting two minutes.

    it is inspired by equilibrium.

the crappy american acting is intended. how can you take a film seriously that first of all has a bet for 6 dollars about taking a life. and escond of all involves two teenagers who happen to have guns are extremely skilled at using them in such close quarters.

criticism can be taken however when it is based on the film being 'serious' or crossing the line in action scene that seems to me to be the rediculous aspect of this post. the film itself is not going to win oscars, it is meant as parody, an action fest with some cool effects. it is not an excercise in HIGH BROW film.

if you didn't enjoy it then fine but what I am trying to tell y'all is that you have misinterpreted a badly encoded film.

if you can't take a bit of criticism...
